Under the weather
It has rained here on the Oregon coast for a week straight. I think it must have stopped sometime during the night, because today the decks are still wet even though we have a little sunshine. Our 10-day forecast is for rain. That’s rain every day for ten more days. And knowing where we live, probably longer.
Even if we don’t get much of a break from the weather, I’m hoping for a break from illness. Gavin had an ear infection that went to his lungs, and finally is fully recovered from that. I came down with bronchitis very suddenly last Saturday–the same day it started to rain. I can’t believe how quickly I became so ill. Only today have I started to feel like I’m recovering. Its been rough around here.
It’s sunny right now, but cold. I’ll cozy up with hot tea and bask in front of the woodstove, and hopefully by Monday I’ll be ready to get back to work.

this is just one of the sweetest pictures I have seen in a very long time…
I hope you feel much much better real soon. I love the picture….just adorable! Glad the little guy is feeling better!
Hang in there!!

I will be praying for you and your children, know how hard it is when the little ones get sick. But the best medicine is a Mami’s love.

I don’t know which is worse, the baby being sick, or momma being sick.
Unfortunately, bronchitis is something I have way too much experience with. Ever since moving to NC, I have come down with it every winter. It would result in my heading to the Dr, and walking away with three Rx meds to get rid of it, every year until 2 years ago. If you can find it, “Celestial Seasonings” makes a wellness tea called “Echinacea complete care” – it has a koala bear in a quilt on the box. It doesn’t taste the greatest, but drinking it with some honey every day knocks out the bronchitis, FAST! I drink it at the very first sign of the cough, and it will often prevent the bronchitis from fully developing. Hope the whole house is better soon!
