Rural Christmas 20:25
December 24th, 2008
Tomorrow is Erik’s family’s Christmas gathering. This afternoon Olga and I baked and decorated cookies to take for gifts. I’ve struggled a bit for gifts this year, since we’re trying so hard to save money to buy some property. This year I tried making things or doing something for everyone in the family. Nothing big or elaborate, just simple things. I figure if you can’t spend money, spend yourself.

I’m sure Erik’s family will love the homemade goodies! I’m hoping by next year to have some more skills so I can make things for our loved ones. I’ve learned so much this past year from BHM and other sites that I hope to put into practice more and more.
Merry Christmas!
6 homemade cookies are worth a 1000 from a store. only money goes into the store ones. homemade ones means so much more.
Merry Christmas
GodBless You, your children, both of your families, and God Bless your husband for sacrificing so much. You put a lot of love into those cookie gifts, I would be honored if someone did that for me.
May God Be With You.
“I figure if you can’t spend money, spend yourself”
What a great way of putting it! That is what we did this year as well. My children and I spent a day baking cookies together. Not only did we have gifts to give, but we had fun doing it together.
