Oh how funny! No, I think his pink ones might be safe. My hubby has the same problem, with things getting "borrowed" over there. That might be an idea....one that I use with my travel mugs. I get the girliest "Froo-froo" mugs I can find, then he doesn't take them to work, where I'll never see them again! ;-)

Hi Annie, you have inspired me to do a lot of crafty things lately...Sewing Crocheting, and finally getting around to using that pressure canner I have been so terrified of! All of which I stopped doing but picked back up.I hope you write again soon, I really like your blog.
Sincerely,
Fellow young wife Dana ( :

My husband returned from his first deployment to Iraq in September of 2007. He is currently on his second tour right now. It is always so hard to say goodbye.

Our job as military wives is never easy and like parenting, does not come with a manual. We learn from other wives and by going through these things ourselves.

*hugs* to you and may Erik come home safely.

My husband comes home in April, too. You are lucky for such a short deployment. I know you did say in an earlier post that it could possibly be for a year, though. Have you found out since then, that he will be home in April, for sure? My husband is US Army, and is in Korea right now. I know it will be a joyful time of reunion for your family and mine! My husband (James) was also in Iraq twice, but only for 2-3 months at a time, so that was really nice. He will be going back to the unit that he was in at that time, in April, so we are really excited. His tour to Korea has been awful. It is with a regular Army unit, so he feels useless there. Anyway, I have subscribed to your blog, and have been enjoying everything that you write! TTYL
