Repairing jeans?

Hi, I know this is unrelated to the entry, but I didn't see an "ask Jackie" type method for your specialty. Do you recommend a certain way to repair jeans? I have my old work favorites that are ripping vertically in the crotch area, and horizontally on a knee. Before I would have tossed them and bought a new pair, but since moving to the land we've been cash only and there isn't money for being wasteful.

Kind regards.
