I love this magazine and now extra stuff! My son leaves tomorow for Okinawa. He just graduated from boot in June. Semper Fi and ohhhh raah.....He still doesn't have his Dress Blues, wants to wait for the blood stripe. Oh I could cry I love the Marines! What beautiful warriors they are. Have fun at the ball. Have you ever been on Marine moms online? It's a good website for young and old marine wives, moms, sisters and girlfriends.

Thank you for the Christmas ideas etc. I too am a quilter and love it, but don't have enough time for it. Good for you that you are able to do all things at home (exhausting!) and enjoy what you do. I always worked when my kids were young and still am and I do regret it!

Thank you for your time and info. It is appreciated ...

Great Job! Just found your blog, and I think I will be coming back more often. You obviously have a lot more sewing experience than I! I balk at having to sew buttons back on. I would rather sew a whole new garment than mend or alter. It sounds like our descriptions are about the same. Im a sewing, knitting, cloth diapering, baby wearing, cloth pad using work at home mom too. Do you have a personal blog?

Forgive my ignorance about all things military uniform related, but you can order parts of a uniform like a collar? Do the men usually have these things altered by a tailor or (insert other choice here)?

I think I foolishly thought these uniforms just sort of well, fit, like buying clothes at Old Navy. LOL (I am idiot, yes. LOL)

The smallest things fascinate me.

What a lucky man! I've never been brave enough to tackle taking my husband's jackets (nor pants) apart. If there's an easy fix I help out...but this would be way beyond my comfort zone. Wow! You're Good!
