I started using cloth a couple years ago, and would NEVER go back to disposable! I'm still on my original set too! Talk about frugal!

They're real. :)

I use them (and reuse them).

I wash them with free and clear detergent on cold, and let them air dry.

I use them because 1) they are way more comfortable than disposable menstrual pads, 2) I don't like spending money on stuff I'm going to throw away, 3) I completely stopped getting yeast infections after I started using them, 4) they are basically free, since they're made with tiny flannel scraps from other projects.

And they work better than any disposable pad I've ever used.

Do you give out your pattern for mentrual pads? I've been trying to make my own but can't figure out how to sew right sides together and turn, then top stitch (I like the neat and tidy look of that) through all the layers. So far all I'm able to do is surge the edges and I don't like that as much. I also like the look of the different colored wings. I'd appreciate the advice.
PS-Is everything okay, we haven't heard from you in your blog lately (or maybe just busy with life!) :-)

God bless,

Jen

WOW our pattern is almost the same! Ive modeled mine after the Lunapads, and I surge around the outside edge. I love mine (when I get to use them because pregnant most of the time LOL) Surging those tight corners is tough though. Great Job!

Cloth menstrual pads are so UNDER-rated. They don't smell or chafe. Why doesn't everyone have a couple? I make my own, but yours are so neat and tidy!
