I wash them with free and clear detergent on cold, and let them air dry. I use them because 1) they are way more comfortable than disposable menstrual pads, 2) I don't like spending money on stuff I'm going to throw away, 3) I completely stopped getting yeast infections after I started using them, 4) they are basically free, since they're made with tiny flannel scraps from other projects. And they work better than any disposable pad I've ever used. They’re real. :)

I've been trying to make my own but can't figure out how to sew right sides together and turn, then top stitch (I like the neat and tidy look of that) through all the layers. So far all I'm able to do is surge the edges and I don't like that as much. I also like the look of the different colored wings. I'd appreciate the advice.
